Fashion at the 66th Golden globes (2009) proved that nothing is in, and nothing is out!
It actually seemed more like everything and anything was in! Any length, any neckline, any hairstyle, any jewellery? ...there simply was no trend, but the "fantabulous" female form. REDWHITEBLACK Mostly black or white or red was worn with the odd Blue gown, and several versions of grey-ish-silver-metallics.
Eva Mendez and Cameron Diaz shocked with frumpy gowns in white and green respectively. With the exception of Me Jennifer Lopez ridiculing bareness, and Me Heidi Klum wearing the ugliest War-warrior shoes that a heel-fancying soldier would wear, very little mistakes was made. Jewellery was scarce and hairstyles not too neat. Apart from Drew Barrymore's exquisite gown, very little was "New". Should I rather then say that all in all the fashion was just glamorous enough? Nothing over the top or too extravagant, again with the exception of Me Lopez? Otherwise, a little disappointing, but given the economic times, it is understandable that fewer stars would splash. Why some women (Glen Close and Catherine Keener) were wearing pants, I still have to figure out...
However, to me, the Golden globes is just a fore-runner for the annual Academy awards. Be sure to return to this site, to find out exactly what might happen and what has happened at these glamorous affairs...

CAPITAL FOR 66 YEARS
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual Golden Globe Awards have enabled the non-profit organization to donate more than $8.4 million in the past fourteen years to entertainment-related charities, as well as funding scholarships and other programs for future film and television professionals. In the year 2007 the donation was more than 1.2 million dollars, the largest tally ever distributed in the organization's history. Known worldwide for its glittering Golden Globe Awards ceremony held every January and its multi-million dollar donations to charity, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had humble origins that stemmed solely from a group of journalists' desire to efficiently and accurately cover all aspects of the world of entertainment.
